Three more years at the Amex
Brighton manager Chris Hughton has signed a new three year deal which will keep him at the club until 2021.
The former Newcastle boss arrived at the Amex in 2014 and guided The Seagulls to the Premier League after a fantastic season in the Championship last term.

Brighton had a fantastic first season in the top flight, securing Premier League safety with a stunning 1-0 win over Manchester United.
Hughton’s men created some unforgettable memories this season with wins coming against Arsenal, Crystal Palace and of course Manchester United.
Why Hughton deserved his contract
Hughton has proved that he is the correct man to take Brighton forward over the past few years.
The former Tottenham man has continuously improved Brighton and doesn’t look finished yet.
Brighton finished 15th in the table this term, 7 points clear of the relegation spots.
Brighton defended very well throughout the season and conceded just 54 goals. Only 9 nine teams conceded more, all of which finished in the top half.
What next for Brighton?
If Brighton want to establish themselves as a regular Premier League club, they need to bring in a few players over the summer.
The Seagulls did very well to survive this season but the next steps should be to aim for bigger and better things.
Only three teams scored less goals than Brighton this year and two of them were relegated. Brighton need some new reinforcements up front if they want to survive another season in the top flight.
A marquee signing wouldn’t go amiss along with an advanced playmaker who would excite the fans.
If Brighton were to sign a new young centre back along with the two attacking players, they would surely be en route for a bright future.
However, for now, Brighton fans can sit back and relax whilst remembering a fantastic season.
